While serving as Managing Editor for Auto Finance News for New York business publisher Royal Media Group (RMG), Craig McGuire contributed articles for publication for another RMG title, Lending Intelligence, which was both a bi-monthly print magazine and a daily online wire service, both targeted at professionals involved in all aspects of consumer lending.

Taglined "critical insights and analysis for the consumer credit industry," Lending Intelligence is described as the "only publication for credit pros who want insights, not just information."

In its launch, which Craig McGuire participated in, Royal said the title is designed to offer coverage of all aspects of consumer lending, from origination techniques to technology updates and servicing advice. Editorial in the first issue included stories on: lending rates and the Federal Reserve; the shift to online bankruptcies taking place in Texas; corporate in-house leasing programs; mortgage and mortgage reform developments; and, problems with online lending.
